What's sensor drift?
If the load is applied to the FSR sensor for a long time (without removing pressure), the resistance value of the sensor gradually decreases and eventually falls to the lowest resistance.
This may give the illusion that the load applied to the sensor is increased.
It's going very slowly.
This is not a unique feature only of the Marveldex FSR sensor but is common to all FSR sensors.
-----------------------------------------
If the solution requires continuous application of more than 2 to 3 minutes to the sensor, we recommend applying it through a self-drift test.
Symptoms appear after 20-30 seconds or more. From this, the resistance is continuously lowered very slowly, very little.
Removing the pressure from the sensor eliminates sensor drift.
The video below is an hour long. Resistance falls steadily, slowly. There is no unexpected situation in the middle, so look over it.
